Happy new year and all that stuff. We will start practising again on 2.1.2009 and probably soon after play Round 4 in the ETF2L Cup where we will face the german division one team, Die Doppelnollen.

Results
ESL
numlocked seems to have made a sneaky post on our real website http://www.clan-wotr.com/ so I'll just paste that stuff here:
"Although the season wasn't meant to finish for another 4 weeks, we have been given 4 defaults out of all 7 of our games, so we are officially the winners of division 4c. Although it is the worst league in ESL, we got placed in there due to us being a reserve team for any drop-outs. Anyway, we also have the best score difference out of every ESL tf2 division, and have only played 3 games!" - Lord Sebastian the Third
So myeah, I guess this still is our very first "gold" in anything. Some of the clans that defaulted to us have played with each other so I smell something fishy here!
Gladly ETF2L Season 4 will start soon and we'll have some pressure performing, the leagues/cups we're currently in don't quite cut it.
2on2 Scout Cup
wltrs and I participated in a 2on2 scout cup hosted by onlinegamer.se
We made it second after beating 4 pairs of scouts. It was a pretty fun waste of an evening, nothing too serious. Curse treigzak and his guerrilla tactics though :(

Happenings
I'm back from my visit to Germany and during my absence we seem to have recruited a new medic, Patriarch! He used to play in our "father" team, weapons of the rebelion.
I interviewed pat to know a bit more about him:
me: who are you and what do you do?
pat: I'm a no-lifer and I play TF2.
me: what do you think of wltrs?
pat: he looks like a horrible ginger baby

We got placed to the lowest division from the waiting list due to me fucking up with the signing up phase and the ESL admins not probably knowing us at all(still known as fL back then)
Finished four games so far(with one being a default win for us)
Not much of a challenge but oh well:

We beat the latvian(?) powerhouse fragMative in the first round and as the round 2 dice rolled, we got a delicious matchup!:
(I told seb to get rid of the caps but he's a menace :( )
Too bad the first wotr team went inactive or something for the remaining year and we get a free pass.

welcome...
Just thought I'd create a news thingie of some sort for us to keep up with what's happening. Honestly I'm just bored at work, it's the lunch hour and I don't really have anything to do at the moment and all the interesting sites are blocked :(
Anyway, as the people who read this probably know, we're a TF2 clan that was known as the welcoming committee, then briefly 'Festina Lente' as we joined a multigaming organization thingie and as of last weekend we have been the second team for weapons of the rebelion.
Our lineup currently:
Admirable (Ireland, soldier)
Altbstfrth (England, soldier)
biomass (Sweden, medic)
kevorkian (Finland, scout)
Mike (Belgium, soldier)
numlocked (England, demoman)
sherpa (England, soldier)
wltrs (Sweden, scout)
Most of us started playing the game around spring-summer 2008 and that's when the clan was formed. I believe the welcoming committee was the first clan for each one of us but biomass who we convinced to leave his inactive clan and join our merry committee :]
Importantly, all of us but numlocked are former NS-players and that's where we know each other from even if we all didn't play in the same clan.
We haven't really had any drastic lineup changes. We had to drop our old demoman, Sheepy, as he went to the university and couldn't play from there because of blocked ports or some shit. Mostly just role switches though.
Biomass is leaving for a 6 month vacation soon(actually he has been leaving for like two months by now) so we're looking for a new medic. Thankfully he hasn't left yet so we've had a medic to play with as we haven't found a new one just yet.
The first competition we participated in was the ETF2L season 3 and we did pretty well for a new team, even if it was only division 4B. We finished the season second with 5 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss gaining a promotion to division 3 next season.
